On Monday, June 6, 2016, tropical storm Colin was positioned considerably north of Sanibel but close enough to churn up the Gulf and send heavy waves crashing onto our beach.

At high tide on Monday, the water lapped at the bottom of the steps coming from the beach path.

On Tuesday, steps in front of a Snowberry beach house showed how the beach had eroded.

By Wednesday, the beach was broader and flatter.
